Learn 6 basic crochet stitches. Bring your own supplies if you have them. Supplies will be available for use during the class. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Every 2nd Saturday of the month (Sept-May) from 10-11am. Space is limited to 8.

Under the direction of Ringo Brill, "Echoes of Africa" with Diaspora Drumming will take kids, families and adults on a journey from Guinea and Ghana in Africa to Cuba, Mexico and Brazil, following paths of instruments and musical styles along the way. Performing traditional music on authentic instruments from three continents, Diaspora Drumming will introduce pattern-based percussion, improvisation and musical call-and-response. This exciting performance culminates in a group Brazilian carnival dance! Open to the public and free, in the main floor Ring of Knowledge.

Drop by Tifft Nature Preserve every Thursday and join us for a casual volunteer-led tour of the Preserve. All Ages are welcomed at this FREE program ($3 donation per person would be greatly appreciated). Please call 716.825.6397 to confirm walk will take place.

Think kids and glass don’t mix? Think again! Our exciting line-up of family-friendly demos, hands-on activities, and cool exhibitions offer a close-up look at the extraordinary things artists can do with glass. With projects for nearly all ages and experience levels, Make Your Own Glass has something for everyone. Experience live glassmaking at its gooiest and most molten! Join our Hot Glass Team in the Amphitheater Hot Shop to get a close-up look at the glassblowing process or journey to our Glass Innovation Center to watch live, narrated presentations of glassworking using a 4,000°F torch.

Join us in the Children's Room with the completion of a community art project in honor of Martin Luther King Day. We will have an art project up that everybody can add to throughout the week, so be sure to stop by and help us complete our project! Open to the public and free, in the main floor Ring of Knowledge.
