The expanded 2026 Rush Fall Festival will feature a corn maze, pie eating contests, scarecrow contest, food trucks and many other exciting celebrations of the season. A unique addition to the fun is provided by a joint trolley-and-train ride between the New York Museum of Transportation and the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum.
Starting at 9:30 a.m., and departing every 30 minutes throughout the day, trolleys will travel the scenic countryside to Midway station. There, riders will transfer to a real freight train for continuation to the end of the line. After enjoying the many features of RGVRRM riders will return to NYMT for the full museum experience there too.
Two museums connected by a rail ride! It's unique in the country and the whole adventure is a rare treat for all ages. The fare for the hour-and-a-half excursion, including both rides and both museums, is just $15 for all ages 5 and older. Purchase tickets at the New York Museum of Transportation, and no reservations are required.
