In 2018 the Seneca-Iroquois National Museum moved down the street from our previous location and is now housed in the new Onohsagwede Cultural Center! This new facility offers new exhibits, new/expanded retail space, a (400) seat amphitheater, a classroom, 3-d printers/Maker Lab, access to archives for educational research, and plenty of various programs to choose from!

The Seneca-Iroquois National Museum on 82 West Hetzel Street in Salamanca, New York, is dedicated to the honorable presentation of the prehistory, history, and contemporary culture of the Seneca-Iroquois people. A visit to the Seneca-Iroquois National Museum located at the Onohsagwende Cultural Center will allow you to experience a culture that was thriving long before history was put into words. The Cultural Center is located directly across from the Seneca Allegany Casino at Exit 20 on I-86. The Seneca Nation of Indians called the lands home long before they were called Western New York. Seneca history is rich, deep and colorful and the Seneca-Iroquois National Museum shares it in a way you’ll never forget. The Center also features a 400 seat amphitheater, art markets, and art shows, as well as specialized tours and workshops. The Cultural Center is alive with art, folktales, struggles and triumphs that continue to define Seneca life. It’s a history lesson and an experience that the whole family will love. Educational, school and group tours welcome with advance notice.
