Make It Up at the Buffalo Museum of Science!

*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 09/05/2016
We invite you to unleash your creativity and Make It Up in our NEW experience that embraces upcycling and The Maker Movement. Create, build, design, and deconstruct in four hands-on spaces that explore architecture, light, circuitry, and more. We have the tools, supplies and know-how to get you started, and you can even take some of your creations home with you!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Build It Up

Research, plan, develop, design, deliver! Using a combination of fasteners and found objects, create a structure to add to our growing city scape (or take it with you when you leave). Your only limitation is your imagination!

Light It Up

Explore light, density, and the magical effects of layering while adding your own art to our giant light wall! Watch this collaborative art piece evolve over the course of the summer months.

Link It Up

Design a series of ramps, tubes, shoots, and turns and send a ball spiraling through your creation.

Tear It Up

Discover what makes appliances and toys move, make noise, and light up by taking them apart! Use tools to explore the inner circuitry and mechanisms of old electronics and appliances without fear of breaking them.
