Establishing Excellent Early Literacy Skills in Preschool Students Ages 3-5

Do you want your preschooler to. . .

  • Become an exceptional listener and reader?
  •  Begin school with a strong set of core skills in place?
  •  Have fun and enjoy learning?

Did you know...

  • 40% of America's 3rd graders are not reading at grade level regardless of race and socioeconomic background. Research has shown us that the earlier we begin literacy instruction the more successful students will become. You brush your child's teeth everyday to prevent cavities and improve dental health-we must think this way about literacy. Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center's Leap into Literacy Program can help guide the way!

Time:
Class times and availability depend on location and enrollment.
Price:
Scholarship assistance may be available to help offset the cost of the book & supply fee and/or out of pocket expenses. In addition to the $100 book and supply fee, program cost depends on the class type that is the most beneficial for the child. Phase I (Intervention) classes may be billable to most major health insurances (if BHSC participates). Program is billed to insurance as speech-language therapy, and may help offset the out-of-pocket cost of program. We strongly suggest all parent/guardians contact a representative of their health insurance provider to inquire about their speech-language evaluation and therapy coverage; specifically their cost/responsibility and number of sessions per year.
