Each day at "History Camp for Kids" has a general theme. On Monday, campers explore the historic house and perform pioneer chores, as the 12 Hull children would have done in the early 1800s. The day concludes with a presentation by a Revolutionary War reenactor, the war in which Warren Hull was engaged. Tuesday is textile day; campers learn about clothing, clothing styles of the era, and how articles of clothing are made. Wednesday is Native American Day, with activities presented by members of the Tuscorora and Seneca tribes; lacrosse is also included! Campers also learn about the War of 1812 on the Western New York frontier; this includes a mock military drill. On Thursday, campers participate in an archaeological dig led by members of the University of Buffalo's anthropology/archaeology department. They also learn about the skilled trades of the day. Friday is foodways day, when campers help prepare a meal shared by all. The day ends with a fantastic Erie Canal performance. The week is filled with many other activities, and after camp on Thursday, campers are invited to lead a tour of the historic house and grounds for their families.
