For over 30 years, families have been coming to Stokoe Farms in Scottsville for the time honored tradition of cutting down their very own Christmas tree. Stokoe Farms setting and old fashioned barns harken memories of a time when life was simplier.
Bring the whole family, and the dog, for a hayride out to the Christmas tree field, where you will be greeted with endless possibilities as to which tree will adorn your home. Then be sure to capture the moments as you cut down your tree with one of the saws provided. Head back to the wagon where friendly farm employees will make sure your tree is shaken, baled and drilled for your convenience. They even provide the twine for your car!
Head over to the Harvest Barn for a complementary cup of hot chocolate and sugar cookie, warm your hands by the bonfire and check out the gift shop for unique finds for those hard to shop for friends and family members. Hungry? The Old Barn Grill will satisfy your cravings, with lunch. Be sure to sample the farm fresh fudge made with REAL butter, crunchy kettle corn and of course Stokoe Farms famous Apple Cider Donuts!
Stokoe Farms offers u-cut fields, pre-cut trees in their barn, and made-on-the-farm wreaths.
Breath deep when your are on this Christmas tree farm! Real Christmas trees are a farmed crop and produce life giving oxygen while cleaning the air of carbon dioxide. Be sure to recycle your Christmas tree! Recycled trees can become mulch, habitat for animals including fish and used for erosion control.
