Brown Kids with Disabilities

We operate weekly support groups that provide a safe and confidential space for parents and caregivers to share experiences, receive peer encouragement, and gain practical guidance related to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), behavioral concerns, and navigating educational and healthcare systems. These meetings help reduce isolation, increase knowledge of rights, and build confidence in advocacy efforts.
In addition, we provide health and wellness education that encourages improved nutrition, healthier lifestyle habits, and overall well-being for children and families. We promote balanced diets and preventative practices to address health disparities and support positive development.
Each month, we conduct community outreach initiatives to meet essential needs. These efforts include distributing free clothing and hygiene products to families and offering free haircuts for children and caregivers. By addressing these basic needs, we promote dignity, self-esteem, and equitable access to resources.
Through advocacy, education, direct assistance, and outreach, our organization is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where families of individuals with disabilities are equipped, empowered, and able to thrive.
