Buffalo-Area Engineering Awareness for Minorities Inc. is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization, committed to building diversity in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields by encouraging, supporting, and preparing minority and underrepresented students in the Buffalo area to pursue a career in the technical and STEM fields. BEAM is dedicated to increasing the number of minorities and females entering engineering and technical careers and the importance in helping to provide engineers and highly skilled technical workers to these fields has never been greater. BEAM collaborates with industry leaders to provide quality, hands-on learning to students in grades PreK-12th through Saturday Academies, BEAM Robotics, Society of Engineers Competitions and Summer Programming.

The BEAM Saturday Academy program will serve up to 100 minority and underrepresented students, grades K -12th. Our BEAM Saturday Academy operates from October through May and meets once a month.
