VIRTUAL EVENT: Scientists in Action: End of the Dinosaurs, Rise of the Mammals - May 7 at 11am Mountain from Denver Museum of Nature & Science
*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 05/07/2020
Sixty-six million years ago, a meteorite larger than Mount Everest slammed into Earth, catalyzing a mass extinction that spelled the end for 75 percent of life on Earth, including the dinosaurs. This cataclysmic event has long fascinated paleontologists: How do we know that this impact occurred, millions of years before humans evolved? What evidence emerges from hillsides, craters, and fossils? And, of course, what happened next?
