Becker Farms Celebrates Halloween Weekend with 5th Annual Trunk or Treat and Pumpkin Destruction

Family-friendly Halloween celebration set for Saturday, October 31, followed by free Pumpkin Destruction on Sunday, November 1

Gasport, NY – Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and Becker Farms is giving Western New York families two festive ways to celebrate with the return of its 5th Annual Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 31, followed by Pumpkin Destruction on Sunday, November 1.

The Halloween weekend festivities are part of Becker Farms’ Fall Fun on the Farm season and bring together families, local first responders and community organizations for a day of costumes, candy, fall activities and plenty of Halloween spirit.

5th Annual Trunk or Treat – Saturday, October 31

From 12 to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 31, Becker Farms will transform its parking lot into a family-friendly Halloween celebration featuring decorated emergency vehicles, trick-or-treating, costume contests and a Trunk Decorating Contest.

In partnership with Terry’s Corners Volunteer Fire Company, Gasport Chemical Hose Company Station #1, Middleport Fire Department, Inc., and the Gasport Lions Club, local first responders will decorate fire trucks, ambulances and other emergency vehicles and hand out treats to children.

The event provides a fun, daytime alternative to traditional trick-or-treating while giving families an opportunity to meet and support the local organizations that serve their communities.

Trunk or Treat is included with Fall Fun on the Farm admission, and $5 from every Fall Fun ticket sold that weekend will be donated to participating local organizations.

Families are encouraged to come dressed for the occasion. Contests will recognize Best Kids Costume, Best Adult Costume and Best Trunk Display, with prizes awarded to the winners.

Community members and businesses interested in participating in Trunk or Treat can register their decorated vehicle for free. Each participating vehicle will receive four complimentary Fall Fun on the Farm general admission tickets, with registration limited to the first 200 vehicles.

“Trunk or Treat has become a wonderful Halloween tradition at Becker Farms because it brings our community together in such a fun and meaningful way,” said Melinda Vizcarra, partner and co-owner of Becker Farms. “We love seeing our local first responders transform their vehicles for the kids, and we’re excited to celebrate our fifth year while giving families a chance to enjoy Halloween together.”

In addition to Trunk or Treat, guests can enjoy the seasonal attractions and activities of Fall Fun on the Farm, along with fresh-made donuts, warm cider and other fall favorites at the farm.

Pumpkin Destruction – Sunday, November 1

The Halloween fun continues on Sunday, November 1, from 12 to 3 p.m., when Becker Farms invites families to help bring the fall season to a smashing conclusion during Pumpkin Destruction.

Guests can grab a leftover pumpkin and smash, stomp and destroy it—a messy and memorable way to say goodbye to Halloween and wrap up the fall season. Families can also bring their own carving tools and carve pumpkins while supplies last.

Admission to Pumpkin Destruction is free, making it an easy way for families to enjoy one final fall outing at the farm.k
