Level 3: Ages 10-15 Swimmers use all four strokes while maintaining proper technique during low intensity interval work. Emphasis in practice begins to shift to conditioning and physiological adaptation while still learning and developing the foundations of proper technique. Practice focuses on low intensity Aerobic conditioning with an emphasis on kicking and an introduction to dry-land training. To receive the full benefits of training, we strongly recommend that Level 3 swimmers participate in a minimum of 3 of the 8 offered practices per week, but exceptions will be made for athletes participating in other activities. There is no meet attendance requirement, swimmers will be invited to attend both inter-squad dual meets and USA Swimming Competitions. Age does not reflect placement and is at the coaches¿ discretion. - Swim continuously with flip-turns 300 yard freestyle @ 6:00 - Execute a flip-turn with freestyle and backstroke - Swim 200 yard IM legally as set out by USA Swimming requirements @ 4:30 - Kick 4x50 @ 1:30 interval - Demonstrate self-motivation and a will for self-improvement - Demonstrate maturity to interact with teammates appropriately and in a way that promotes team spirit
