Ready your courageous robots for a mission to the moon, Mars, or beyond!

Space Explorers Kit

During this half-day camp, campers will construct remote-controlled models of robotic rovers resembling the ones used to explore Mars, which at the end of the camp they get to take home. Once the build is complete, the race is on! Campers will use the remote control unit to survey uncharted terrain and race against each other to see which build model is the fastest. Learn about the history of Mars exploration, robotics in satellites, deep-space exploration, and the robots in popular space-related science fiction. This camp is for any camper who is fascinated by the prospects of being an astronaut, colonizing the moon, being the first human to land on Mars, or who just enjoys building! (Lab fee of $70 to help cover the cost of car kit) Includes a daily snack.

Interested in having your camper stay for the full day?

Check out our morning session of Beginners Roblox: Game Design! If your camper stays for the full day, we will be providing supervision from 12pm-1pm between the end time and start time of the two camps. During this time it is recommended that your camper bring a packed lunch to eat. We'll also be playing videos during the break or depending on the number of campers (and on the weather) we'll be going outside so they can eat their lunch while getting some fresh air.

FAQs

Where is the camp located?

The tech camps are held on the campus of Daemen College on Main Street in Amherst, NY. Facilities include the Business Building which houses several computer labs on campus.

How many children in each camp?

Just like a regular class, we ensure a good adult-to-child ratio. Depending on age, this ranges from 1:8 to 1:10, so most camps are maxed out at 20 children. Daemen Tech Camps reserves the right to cancel a camp should enrollment fall below five (5) children.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds will be given only as a result of injury or illness. The refund will be based upon a percent of the daily loss, less a $25 non-refundable fee. A $25 processing fee will also be charged for any cancellation.
