Salamander Shenanigans
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sun, 04/28/2019
Have you ever seen a salamander? Join one of our naturalists this spring to help look for the many different salamander species found in the Genesee Valley.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
From 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., explore the ponds, play migration games, listen to stories, and create a stick salamander to take home. At 1:00 p.m., venture into the forest for a guided salamander hunt to learn how to safely catch and release common species found in New York State. These amazing amphibians are all around us, you just have to know where to look.
*Times, dates, and prices of any activity posted to our calendars are subject to change. Please be sure to click through directly to the organization’s website to verify.
