Experience an afternoon of emotive chamber music with Romance and Reflection, a captivating program blending passion, innovation, and lyricism. This concert features Rachmaninoff’s deeply expressive Cello Sonata, Clarice Assad’s dynamic Synchronous for oboe and string quartet, Klughardt’s evocative Schilflieder Trio, and Bruch’s richly melodic Piano Quintet.
This performance marks the debut of Eastman School of Music’s new violin professor, David Bowlin, alongside esteemed musicians Erik Behr (oboe), Jeanelle Thompson (violin), Phillip Ying (viola), Joseph Johnson (cello), and Chiao-Wen Cheng (piano).
A pre-concert talk at 2:30 provides insight into the evening’s repertoire. Students and children receive free admission—visit the welcome table upon arrival.
