Destination Space
Ages 3-4
Your destination this week? Space! Blast off and explore what is and isn’t in space! Take a trip through our solar system, discover our planet Earth, experiment with gravity, journey though the stars and make constellations. Train and dress like an astronaut, zoom to the moon and beyond and visit the Strasenburgh Planetarium.

Ready, Set, Go!
Ages 4-5
Explore planes, trains, cars, boats, balloons and animals! Get ready to get moving as we discover the world of transportation, motion and power. What makes things go? How do we get from here to there? Make your own gliders, parachutes and set of wheels as you put the science of travel to the test.

Wits, Watts & Wires
Ages 6-7
Ec-STATIC is how you’ll feel as you explore static electricity. Test objects to see if they are insulators or conductors, and learn how to illuminate a light bulb! Build a simple circuit, make a potato power plant, explore magnetism and more during this electric camp!

Insect Investigations
Ages 5-7 (Almost Camp)
Big bugs, bad bugs, bright bugs, beautiful bugs—investigate all insects! Uncover the difference between spiders, centipedes, beetles, butterflies and more! Collect your specimens on bug hunts and build them a bug box habitat, then enjoy a visit to the RMSC collection of insects.

Star Warriors
Ages 6-8
Venture through the galaxies and planets while you explore space and science! Travel to the beginnings of astronomy, launch bottle rockets, operate robot arms, and make your own planetary rover. If you accept this mission, you will gain perspective on our solar system, study the power of the sun, and how to defy gravity right here on planet Earth! Enjoy a visit to the Strasenburgh Planetarium.

Wild Things
Ages 6-8
Learn about animals—big and tall, short and small—from farm animals and wild beasts, to insects and primates. Join us for an adventure as we explore the wild things! Discover creatures of the night and the animals right in your backyard. Learn how to protect endangered species. Enjoy a visit to the Seneca Park Zoo. Camp includes dissection.

VEX Robotics
Ages 9-11
Build complex robots, learn about gear ratios and overcome team challenges! Working with updated equipment this summer, experiment through the design process as you test and re-test to prep your teams’ bot for the demonstration on Friday. Note: Knowledge of VEX Robotics and NXT Robotics are helpful, though not necessary.

Animation
Ages 12-15
Explore all things animation! With your team, create a stop-motion animated movie, learn about cartoon storyboards and create your own! Use clay to create a setting and characters, and then shoot a movie! Investigate CGI and its role in the modern movie-making process. Celebrate with peer-voted RMSC Murray awards at the premiere showing on Friday afternoon!
