Pond Exploration
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sun, 06/02/2019
Observing a pond is a perfect way to enjoy a spring day. Our naturalists and volunteers would be happy to introduce you and your family to the turtles, salamanders, frogs, and insects that call our ponds home.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
For those looking for a little extra adventure, nets and buckets will be available for some hands on, or rather in, fun! Meet at the Nature Center at between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. For an additional fee, stick around after pond dipping to spend the afternoon fishing at Lake Surprise on our private Oatka Creek property. For more information and to reserve your spot for fishing visit https://www.gcv.org/experiences/youth-classes/fishing-at-lake-surprise/.
*Times, dates, and prices of any activity posted to our calendars are subject to change. Please be sure to click through directly to the organization’s website to verify.
