Movement on Earth
*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 08/23/2019
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
This week will be filled with activity, as we explore how and why living and non-living parts of Earth move.
Tectonic plates, ocean currents, shifting sands, tides, plant growth, animal locomotion - everything on this planet has some kind of movement!
We will identify time scales and discuss how this can affect us on an everyday basis and how we may affect those movements by our own actions. Kids will participate in plenty of movement themselves, so be ready!
This camp is offered twice in summer 2019: July 22-26 for kids ages 8-12 and August 19-23 for kids ages 6-10. There are also two "Jr. Counselor" spots available for kids 15-17 each week.
Jr. Counselor spots are for kids who have outgrown the traditional age of participation but still want to attend camp. Jr. Counselors will help supervise younger campers, help with set up and clean up, and assist in the activities.
