Why are insects important? What role do they play on a healthy planet? These are important questions. In the past 50 years, we've seen a precipitous decline in insect numbers worldwide – including butterflies like the monarch. How do we stem this decline? Insectageddon-Buffalo will celebrate insects and raise awareness about the critical role they play on our planet.
This program is presented by the Land Conservancy and The Riverline in collaboration with the Buffalo Museum of Science, Eastern Monarch Butterfly Farm, Just Buffalo Literary Center, and the Old First Ward Community Center. This event is part of a nationwide effort by the High Line Network and its members.
