Girl Scouts of Western New York: *New* Riding the Trails (session 5)

Explore the horse trails at Camp Timbercrest. Spend your days, and even a night, out on the trails. Girls in grades 7-12 will learn how to do some Equestrian First Aid, spot and avoid trail dangers and learn the ins and outs of packing a saddlebag. This equestrian program is tailored for the intermediate to advanced rider working on trotting or cantering and can independently halt, steer at the walk and trot on the rail in good control.

Girls will earn requirements towards the following Girl Scout badges:
Cadette – Animal Helpers
Seniors – Voice for Animals
Girls must wear long pants and boots with at least a 1/2 inch heel
