The GBTC 1 Mile Race and Kids Fun Run

The GBTC 1 Mile Race sponsored by Healthy Buffalo is a fast one-mile competition in Delaware Park. Runners begin the race on Ring Rd at the Indian Hunter Statue and head counterclockwise downhill towards the Zoo finishing just before The Juicery at Meadow Rd. The race will be divided into heats determined by participants estimated finish times. Register on either a male or female team of three and compete with your run club, group, or friends. The lowest aggregate time wins. Food, beverages, and awards will be served afterwards near the finish line.
Awards will be given to;
- Overall male and female finishers
- Overall masters male and female finishers
- First place male and female finishers in five-year age groups beginning at 10-14
- First Place male and female team finishers.
- Medals to all the participants of the fun run
Packet Pick-up: 8am at the Indian Hunter Statue.
Registrations received before March 21 will receive a quality cotton T-shirt.

The Greater Buffalo Track Club will be abiding by the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) recommendations for the prevention of the spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and other communicable diseases. As such, masking and mass gathering guidelines will be adopted by the event as these guidelines change.

Kids Fun Run
Our kids fun run will provide young runners with the chance to experience the community, comradery, and competition road racing provides. Participants will receive a medal and shirt. Shirts are only guaranteed to participants who register before 3/21. The young racers will begin on Ring Rd near the Zoo and race to the GBTC Mile Finish line just before the Juicery. This will be the last heat of the day.
