Explore & More First Birthday Bash

It’s finally time to celebrate our one-year birthday at Canalside! So what if it’s a little belated? We just wanted to wait so we could celebrate with you! For two weeks we will host family fun activities inside the museum and virtually. Children can participate in a scavenger hunt throughout the museum and win prizes. Little ones can write down their birthday wish and put it on our Wishing Wall to be displayed for the next month. They can even post their wish on our Facebook page with a chance to win a Wegman’s Shopping Spree! Throughout the two weeks we will share birthday activities and Storytime videos for our friends at home! Finally, in case you are missing the fun and excitement of bidding and winning prizes in an auction, no worries – Explore & More will be hosting an online auction as well.

- Face masks are required for all visitors ages 2 and up, per the Center for Disease Control
- Timed ticketing with advance online ticket purchase
- Limited capacity with staggered start times
- Social distancing reminders throughout the museum
- Handwashing facilities and hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the museum
- Bring your own waterbottles as water fountains will not be available
- Same day re-entry is not permitted
- Please check your temperature before visiting, and stay home if you feel sick
- Guests who have recently traveled from one of the New York State ‘hot spots’ within the last two weeks will not be permitted to enter, please check the NY State website for details
We are an inclusive Museum. We understand that some families may have a medical or physical concern that makes wearing a mask difficult. Please contact the museum and we will work with you to figure out a solution. We are all learning together, this is a great resource for families to familiarize themselves with why it’s important to wear a mask!
