Starting with an opening ceremony including a Color Guard comprised of Town of Boston First Responders and VFW members working with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Patrol, EquiFest 2016 combines repeats of some perennial favorites and new additions that are sure to be crowd pleasers.
Bigger, better and more diverse than ever before, featured clinicians and performers include Jack and Emma Minteer with both dueling Mustangs and a Reined Cow Horse demonstration. Also new this year, Cowboy Poet Mark Munzert and Vocalist Kimmy Hudson will bring a little Western Culture to the event.
A musical free style dressage Pas de Deux and Cowboy Dressage will increase the diversity, and the youth contingent will be represented by Erie County 4-Hers doing a fast paced, fun Horse Bowl competition on Saturday and displaying their expertise with Horse Communications on Sunday. The Parade of Breeds has been brought back by popular demand and in addition there will be a Breed Avenue where visitors can get in depth information and be up close and personal with 8 breeds of horses.
Over 100 vendors will be occupying more than 16,000 square feet to provide an unforgettable shopping experience. From tack to trucks and boots to bling there will be goods and services on display to satisfy every desire.
