The Nutrition and Health Research Lab at the University at Buffalo is looking for children ages 11 – 14 years to participate in our UB-Eating Among Teens Study (UB-EATS). This study will require 6 total visits to our lab located at the UB South Campus.
We are currently studying the eating behavior and health in teens from those within our community. We want to understand why certain groups of teens are at higher risks for certain diseases, like diabetes and obesity. The work we are doing now is an important step in the direction of future projects and programs that could help teens who are at risk to live healthier lives and to grow up to be healthier adults.
During our study, both the child and parent will be compensated. We also offer a monthly nutritional workshop as well as a fresh produce box, with locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables.
