Dino Daze, a NEW celebration of all things “Dino,” stomps into the Buffalo Museum of Science on Saturday, November 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This new event is part of the Museum’s Audience Engagement Event Series. Help us unveil our newly restored Allosaurus and showcase the Rethink Extinct Science Studio. Guests will become a paleontologist for the day, pose for photos with costumed dinosaur greeters and explore our giant “dig pit.” The event is included with general museum admission and free for Buffalo Museum of Science members. Admission is payable at the door on the day of the event.
Hands-On dinosaur activities will take place all day throughout the Museum. Create “fossils” utilizing dough impressions, walk like a dinosaur, experience how tall dinosaurs were and be amazed by ancient insects. Also, (available for purchase) be a paleontologist for a day and use our sifting station to sort through a Paleo bags of fossils to discover gemstones and other surprises from around the world. Enjoy stratigraphy sand art while learning about the law of suspension by filling pendants with different layers of colored sand. In addition, our own Seymour the Mastodon and Stanley the Albertosaurus will be turning four and we’ll be hosting a special birthday celebration in their honor.
