Academy Kids! Company for students ages 5-9 looking for a more intensive experience in musical theatre. In addition to performing in our two regular school showcases, students will also perform in their own production of “Annie” in April! Students will spend more time and opportunities each week to train, rehearse and perform. Academy Kids! company members will also participate in our year end workshop with Young Performers of America from NYC!
Academy Performance Group is our audition only performance group for ages 10 & up and serves as a venue to allow those who truly want a more intensive theatre environment. They will have the opportunity to train, rehearse, and perform at a much higher level than academy weekly classes while serving as a feeder program for Academy Encore Ensemble, our elite college preparatory theatre company. APG members will be showcased in the ATA theatre school productions, their own major musical production in March, the Shea’s Broadway Junior celebration, and Young Performers of America.
Nationally award winning Academy Encore Ensemble is the only year round college preparatory theatre arts program in Western New York. Members of Academy Encore Ensemble must be high school students who possess tremendous drive, dedication and talent in the field of Theatre Arts. The AEE Company trains extensively in all genres of theatre and performs major musicals for the community throughout the year at their own theatre. Performing Artists within the AEE Theatre Company also participate in intensive workshops throughout the year with professionals from the Broadway stage. Graduates of Academy Encore Ensemble are now being accepted into the finest musical theatre and business colleges, conservatories, and universities in the country. Academy Acting & Film Company will work with professionals in the field to produce two shows throughout the year.
The first show will be a screening of 10 minute short films created, produced and performed entirely by the company members.
The second show will be a straight play performed entirely by the company members.
