Code Ninjas NEW Artificial Intelligence Summer Camp!

*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 07/17/2020
Artificial intelligence/machine learning is booming. The best way for kids to get ahead of the curve on this worldwide trend is for them to get in on the action!

In Rise of the Machine Camp, ninjas will learn all about Machine Learning, one of the most important and revolutionary programming and STEM fields in the 21st century. As they progress, ninjas will be challenged to create Machine Learning programs that unlike traditional programs will learn and adapt to their environment. Using Scratch programming (Block programming), ninjas will create real Artificial Intelligences for various tasks. By the end of this camp, ninjas will gain the knowledge and experience needed to code on their own A.I. using Machine Learning! It’s not strictly game-based, so ninjas who join this camp should be looking for a deeper understanding of real coding. Recommended for kids ages 10-14.

In 2020, Machine Learning is all around us. We all use machine learning systems every day — spam filters, recommendation engines, language translation services, chatbots and digital assistants, search engines, and fraud detection systems. We are soon coming to an age where it will be normal for machine learning systems to drive our cars, to manage our security, and to help doctors in diagnosing and treating illnesses. It's important that kids are aware of how our technology is progressing and how it all works. The best way to understand the capabilities and implications is to be able to build with this technology for themselves.

During camp Ninjas will build (in Scratch) AI driven games, Machine Learning-based programs, and they will create AI to perform various tasks. In all these projects, the ninja's code will be able to adapt and change based on the environment. Overall they will learn about the future of programming and how their future is being coded.
