Aerospace Activities for Students ages 6-12

Cadets from TAK Squadron, Civil Air Patrol, will teach about various aerospace topics using observations, discussion , and construction. Topics will include propulsion, Newton's Laws of Motion, and aerodynamics.

Join us at the Niagara Aerospace Museum for some fun learning activities centering on aerospace and flight topics. What do wings and fins do? Find out by constructing a rubber band foam rocket. What makes an airplane fly? Discover Bernoulli's Principle to explain lift and make an air foil paper airplane. How do helicopters fly? Make a paper helicopter. What is propulsion? make a straw propelled rocket. Why are wings shaped the way they are? Make a styrofoam airplane. Teachers can learn about Civil Air Patrol materials available for educators in elementary through high school. Activities are included in the Museum entrance fee.
