Reality Check Family Pizza and Movie Night

Join us on President’s Day 2/18/19 for a family friendly pizza and movie night! Buffalo Ironworks located at 49 Illinois St in Buffalo NY is partnering with Roswell Park and the Reality Check program for an educational movie night on tobacco imagery in movies. Reality Check is a teen-led program that focuses on reducing the toll of tobacco and provides information and education for youth to reject smoking. One of the program’s goals is to reduce tobacco imagery in youth-rated movies. We’ll be showing the PG rated movie Rango that has multiple smoking incidents and providing a Bingo game for parents and children to complete for Reality Check gear and prizes. Reality Check students will provide families with helpful information on how to be aware of smoking in movies and how they can take action. Event is FREE and located at Buffalo Ironworks and includes pizza and wings, pop, and water as long as supplies last. Event begins at 5:30pm and ends at 8pm.
