Join in activities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Strong:
• Noon and 1 p.m.: Meet local author Nykki Matthews and enjoy live story readings of her book The Truth About Me, a story celebrating individuality.
• 2 p.m.: Meet Miss Sweet Potato Pie, a local edutainer and listen to a story celebrating Dr. King.
• 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Meet members of Alfred University's Art Force 5, a group that travels the country paying tribute to empowerment icons such as Harlem Renaissance leaders, suffragists, and more. See the group's display of mosaic portraits and paint a tile to add to the art piece.
• 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Visit the museum's Dream Wall and add your handprint and read others' dreams and become inspired.
