From Farmland to Funerals at Concordia Cemetery
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 06/19/2021
Come and learn all about Historic Concordia Cemetery’s place in Western New York’s heritage as part of the Erie County Bicentennial celebration. Our roots will be traced from this land being used for farming through its development as a sacred ground that is a living museum and final resting site to over 21,000 people who called Western New York home. We will unveil and dedicate our new historic marker from the Pomeroy Foundation recognizing Concordia’s listing on the National Register of Historic Places. With special guest speakers. Volunteers will be on hand to help you locate your ancestors’ graves.
