Join Explore & More Children’s Museum and The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library for a celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. This project, “We the People: A Quilt of Belonging,” will celebrate the diversity of America and New York State.
In this workshop, led by Explore & More teaching artists, children (ages 5-10) will make quilt squares reflecting their family heritage and connection to Erie County. Participants will be invited to contribute their square to a collaborative, county-wide quilt project. The collection of fabric squares will be assembled into a completed quilt and displayed by the Library. Space and materials are limited to 25 participants--first come, first served!
The workshop will be accompanied by a special story time by one of our librarians!
