Family Camping Overview
- Family camping sessions run Thursdays from 2 pm through Monday at noon. Your stay includes:
- Individual family lodging. Limited to people currently living in the same household ONLY.
- Supper on arrival day, breakfast and supper each day, and brunch on departure day (under all applicable NY Forward guidelines)
- Morning socially distanced programming.
- Use of camp program supplies (as approved by NY State Guidelines) in your free time
- Children under 5 are FREE.
- Currently, masks are required if interacting with other families, inside or out.
- Afternoons will be free time to enjoy camp, the park (bike, swim, hike, fish, kayak) or R&R.
- Pets are welcome with proof of current rabies vaccinations, leash, and scooper. Pets must be on 6’ leash at all times.
- Mass will be offered every session on Saturday late afternoon.
- Daily morning and evening prayer will also be offered.
- The camp store {Canteen} will open twice a day for snacks, souvenirs, ice and firewood purchases.
Cabins are duplexes and share 1 common wall and a common porch. Guests are encouraged to sign up with another family they know and are comfortable being next to. However, families must maintain social distance at all times. Let us know who you want to be paired next to. Each unit accommodates up to 10 people from the same household ONLY. Beds have inner spring mattresses and anti-microbial coatings. Each unit is intended for only one family that is from the same household to ensure social distancing. Quiet hours will be enforced from 11 pm through 8 am.
Meals are included in the price, so you don’t have to shop, pack food, cook or do the dishes! We are serving take out breakfast and supper throughout your stay. Breakfast is served between 8 and 9 each morning. Take out supper between 6 pm and 7 pm each evening. Guests are allowed to bring snacks and lunch items in air tight storage. Each family will be assigned their own picnic table and fire ring. Ice and firewood will be available for sale on site to our guests only.
- Optional morning programs will be offered during most sessions, including archery, creek walks, nature study, guided hikes, deer stalk, outdoor living skills, and “distanced” arts and crafts.
- Other things to do at camp as a family includes: outdoor ping pong, horseshoes, ladder golf, corn hole, bocce ball, pickle ball, disc golf, badminton and all the great stuff in the park. Equipment will be checked out with our Program Director and checked back in between families for sanitizing. Participants are required to wear a face mask when 6’ of social distance cannot be maintained.
- Things to do in the park: Swimming available at beach, 18 hiking trails, fishing (license required), park naturalist programs by reservation available, birding, playgrounds will be open, you are encouraged to bring your own kayaks, canoes and bicycles with locks.
- Camp staff will clean the bathrooms three times per day. Cleaning supplies will be provided to guests to clean in between these times as needed. Guests will be assigned staggered shower times. Please supervise your children in the restrooms.
- The Dining Hall will be open for food pickup, ice purchases or visits to the camp store only. These restrictions may relax as reopening stages progress.
- For your safety masks are required in common areas and when in proximity to others.
Schedule for 2020 Family Camps Rates include lodging, breakfast, supper.
Session 1 – July 2 – 6 $650 for families up to 3 people. $100 for each additional person. Children under 5 are free.
Session 2 – July 9 – 13 $575 for families up to 3 people. $75 for each additional person. Children under 5 are free.
Session 3 - July 16 – 20 $575 for families up to 3 people. $75 for each additional person. Children under 5 are free.
Session 4 - July 23 - 27 $575 for families up to 3 people. $75 for each additional person. Children under 5 are free.
