BendersonJCC presents: Exploring American Jewish Exploring American Jewish Culture in Superheroes and Culture in Superheroes and Graphic Novels

Besides being superheroes, what do Superman, Batman, the X-Men, Spiderman, and other popular superheroes have in common? They show traits of Jewish identity and were created by American Jews. This workshop led by artist Cathy Miller, will point out some of the Jewish themes and characteristics evident in specific superheroes and graphic novels. Participants will be tasked in creating their own superheroes and graphic novel storyboards.
