Our play preference center offers a multi-level indoor playground that boasts a trampoline, tunnels, slide, swing, and webbed bridge! There is a 2nd story outlook, web climbing levels, and even padded block tangram puzzle! There are many more events to the playground that children will love to explore! The other side of Play Date can stimulate the imagination with a double train table, 2 doll houses and pretend play center of kitchen, laundry, grocery store and ice cream/bake shop! Kids will love pretending in our career vests!
For the sensory needs of children, Play Date has surrounded the play center with 2 magnet walls, sequence wall, mirrors and felt boards. Our lego wall and table are just the beginning to the STEM building activities you can find. There is also a balance beam, Bilibos to spin in and extra large waffle and lego blocks to build with! When kids get overwhelmed, Play Date offers a calming room filled with bean bag chairs, books and a lighted bubble wall to relax kids when they can’t relax themselves.
At AJs Play Date we have hired a staff of enthusiastic young adults that have experience with small children and know how to relate to our littlest visitors. All staff members are either in the field of education or on the career path that leads that way. The owners of AJs Play Date are highly trained educators who have put years of experience together to bring meaningful play to each child who enters. Every toy in our facility has been chosen for the purpose of improving gross motor, fine motor and sensory needs of every child while kids have fun! If your kids attend therapies such as speech and occupational therapy our play preference center can support their needs and desires through play. Our mission at AJs Play Date is to bring fun and learning through play to all children! Bring them in and join the fun!
You will not be disappointed when you spend the day at Play Date! Come find the fun!
AJs offers a variety of Play Packages to suit the busy lifestyles we have all come to know. Everything from “Open Play” to private parties are available! At AJs we offer “Stay-n-Play” options that include “Little Tyke Time” for children 0-6 during the week in the mornings, Mommy and Me Exercise classes, and ”Private Pod Sessions” where larger families/close friends can gather and play together! At AJs Play Date we love to see families playing, laughing and learning together. We encourage parents to get on the floor and watch the happiness light up as the kids play with their favorite people: their loved ones!
We also have “Drop-n-Go” options for busy families that need us to “take the kids” for 1 -2 hours at a time. The fun to be had is the same for the kids but parents can take care of other business at the same time! Also available are the amazing Challenge Island events that have been happening at AJs from day one! These STEAM events are nationally recognized and presented by NYS certified Teachers. Play and learning go hand and hand and no one puts it together better than our partners at Challenge Island! We offer several of these events from week long camps to 2 hour – STEAM & PLAY events on Saturday mornings! Check our booking tiles below for details on these amazing events! Your kids will love it!

Every Challenge Island® Field Trip and Afterschool Enrichment Class is a HIGH ENERGY, HANDS-ON, Cross-Curricular STEAM Adventure featuring Project-Based Learning and 21st Century Skills. Our Award-Winning Curriculum is aligned with multiple Common Core, State, and Next Generation Science Standards, as well as Social Emotional Learning Standards. Safety is our highest priority during all on-site programs. Send your students on an unforgettable STEAM Adventure without ever leaving school grounds!
“There are a number of STEM and STEAM enrichment franchises, but one thing that makes Challenge Island stand out from the competition is what it lacks. You’ll find no screens or digital devices in a Challenge Island after-school class, camp or family night. Instead, kids, working in tribes, are encouraged to use imagination, teamwork and problem-solving skills to come up with creative solutions to challenges using only a treasure chest full of low-tech art supplies.”
