In 1857, Miss Leslie complied a collection of “light and exhilarating amusements for the purpose of unbending the mind, exercising the body, and interesting the attention." Explore Victorian pass times while doing handwork (crafts), acting out dramatic sketches, playing 19th-century games and reading stories. Make your own reticule (purse), ribbon bookmark, cloth doll and Victorian doll clothes! Ages: 10-12

The 19th-century village setting provides a one-of-a-kind journey to the past. Week-long adventures take place Monday through Friday. Each child is loaned a costume, which becomes their outfit for the week. A cash deposit of $40 is required, and will be refunded when the costume is returned. A supervised camp bus from Rochester and extended care are available.
