You can bet the farm your children will have fun at this camp! Spend a week learning and doing at the Early Settlement Farm. Help with animal care, collect eggs, tend crops, grind corn, and horse around! Plant the seed for a lifelong love of learning.

Have fun learning open-hearth cooking during this hands-on class for girls and boys. Explore the museum gardens, and bring seasonal ingredients back to the kitchen. Learn how to correctly build a fire for open-hearth cooking and make simple 19th-century dishes. During the week students will also make their very own receipt (recipe) book to bring home.

With the GCV&M Historic Village as the setting for adventure, campers dressed in period clothing are immersed in the lives and times of young people of the 19th-century. Campers discover the Pioneer Farm, sample Village life, or dive deeper into 19th century trades, skills, and traditions.

During this program, campers will work as a team to sample what Mother Nature has to offer as they immerse themselves in the natural world and engage in a variety of crafts, games, and activities. Whether you are new to fishing or have been fishing for years, there is something for everyone in this class! Learn (or sharpen) your skills in identifying species of fish and aquatic insects, scouting for bait, baiting a hook, catching, preparing and cooking a fish over an open fire. Practice your skills while exploring fishing ponds and the Oatka Creek located on the Museum land that is open only for guided experiences.

Set sail on a high-seas adventure in honor of the new live-action Moana film! Campers will journey across the ocean with a week full of hands-on activities that are shore to delight. They'll test their STEM skills by building boats that float, returning the Heart of Te Fiti through teamwork, and crafting ocean-inspired art and island treats fit for any voyager.

Wands at the ready for a magical week in the wizarding world! Campers will get sorted into their Hogwarts house just like in the Great Hall, then craft enchanted magnets, build their own version of the famous castle, and hunt for Horcruxes like Dumbledore. They'll launch golden snitches, play a fast-paced Quidditch-style math game, and whip up Honeydukes-inspired treats Madam Rosmerta would love.

Get ready for a week of hands-on fun at Craftmania, where every day explores a fresh theme through creativity and curiosity. Campers will start with a nature-inspired day full of outdoor discoveries, floral printing, and crafty binocular-making. From there, we’ll jump into colorful celebrations with fizzy fruit drinks and mini piñatas, then dive into the world of color with experiments, history, and vibrant paper flowers.

Junior Chefs Summer Camp is a fun, hands-on experience where children explore the joy of cooking while building creativity and confidence. Each day, campers will make two kid-friendly recipes, learning basic kitchen skills such as measuring, mixing, following directions, and working safely with food.

In celebration of the new Cat in the Hat movie, this week invites campers to explore the bold, bizarre, and brilliant world of Dr. Seuss through a mix of creativity, challenges, and fun. They'll decode secret messages, tackle STEM builds, and dive into rhyming riddles and wordplay that sharpen both reading and math skills.

At Slime Time, campers will dive into all things gooey with a wild variety of hands-on slime experiments, including pearl, floam, fairy dough, and even chocolate chip cookie dough slime.
