Chocolate Dipped Fruit
Serves: 12 piecesPrep Time: 10 min ½ banana 4 strawberries 1 cantaloupe melon wedge ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 Tbsp solid vegetable shortening 1. Wash berries and pat dry with paper towel. 2. Peel banana and cut rind from melon. Cut banana and cantaloupe into large (about 1-inch chunks). 3. Place chocolate chips and shortening in microwave-safe dish; cook for 30 sec on HIGH. Stir; cook another 30 sec. The chips should have melted and the mixture should be smooth. 4. Stick a toothpick or skewer into each piece of fruit. Dip 2/3 of the fruit into the chocolate; allow excess to drip off; place fruit on a plate. Chill until chocolate has hardened.
