Pregnant women are often inundated with recommendations on what not to eat. This list is composed of oh-so-easy options for what to eat.
Nutrients essential to the health of both mom and baby during pregnancy include iron, calcium, fiber, folic acid, and vitamin C. Including these nutrients in your diet have many benefits such as providing energy, preventing maternal anemia, developing strong bones, managing maternal blood pressure, controlling weight gain, preventing birth defects, and boosting the immune system.
Here is a list of 5 fantastic foods to include during pregnancy. Each provides a good source of all the essential nutrients - iron, calcium, fiber, folic acid, and vitamin C - in just one serving!
