Dedicated to empowering the youth of WNY through theatre education, nationally award winning Academy of Theatre Arts and the ATA Performing Arts Center is the only theatre venue in Western New York created and designed solely for the development and training of children and young adults in the genres of acting, vocal performance and musical theatre dance. .
As 2016 award winners of NYS Theatre Guide’s “Best Theatre Education Program for Young Artists” “Best of 2016 Theatres Williamsville” and the only theatre company in the country to receive a perfect score for Young Performers of America’s “Excellence in Theatre” award, we are proud to use theatre as a platform to teach and promote excellence in public speaking, self esteem, confidence, and personal excellence to a generation who now needs these skills more than ever before! Broadway Babies ($150)
August 14th-18th 9am-12pm Ages 2-4
Our newest summer program is a half-day, one-week camp where children will explore different aspects of theatre with a final performance based on a favorite children’s book on the last day!
Broadway at ATA ($425)
July 10th-21st 9am-4pm Ages 12-18
Onstage at ATA ($425)
July 25th-August 4th 9am-4pm Ages 9-12
You don’t want to miss this fun and exciting program here at ATA! This camp will consist of intensive voice, theatre and dance workshops. We also put a focus on public speaking, team building and problem solving during this camp; skills the students can use throughout their lives! Students will learn what it takes to put on a musical not only on stage but off stage as well. Students will audition and be cast in the full musical production of “Legally Blonde Jr.”
New this year...BROADWAY DAY! For students in Broadway & Onstage at ATA during the second week of camp students will have the opportunity to work with a TOP BROADWAY STAR on acting, vocal & dance workshops. Lunch will be provided this day!
Catch a Rising Star ($200)
August 7th-11th, August 14th-18th or August 21st-25th 9am-3pm Ages 5-9
This popular one-week camp will allow you to be part of a fun-filled production of “Madagascar: A Musical Adventure Jr.” Join us for a week of singing, dancing and making new friends! In just one short week, students will learn lines, musical numbers and important team building skills. During this one-week, we place an emphasis on public speaking and being comfortable stepping out of your comfort zone!
