National Museum of Play at The Strong
The National Museum of Play at the Strong is the region’s largest year-round family attraction and the only museum in the world devoted to the importance of play.
Fun for all ages, the museum was voted “No. 1” on the KidsOutAndAbout.com list of Top 20 Places to Bring Kids in Rochester!
The museum has more than 150,000 square feet of dynamic, hands-on exhibits space.
Guests can save the metropolis from evil-doers in the American Comic Book Heroes exhibit, shop in a kid-sized Wegmans market, meet Big Bird and Elmo on Sesame Street, travel Down a Sunny Dirt Road to meet The Berenstain Bears®, and enjoy so much more.
The museum is home to the National Toy Hall of Fame® and the International Center for the History of Electronic Games™.
The National Museum of Play also features family-friendly activities, outstanding guest service, and amenities including a Food Court, a vintage diner, the Elaine Wilson Carousel, the Strong Express Train, and two shops.
In addition, the museum offers a wide-range of birthday party packages for children up to age 10. Party experts set up the event, provide the food, and supply goody bags for your child’s guests.
