Although we don't have the higher mountains of the east, there is plenty of opportunity for great skiing... and of course, when many people think of western New York, they think winter! We in the nation's Snow Belt are justifiably proud of all of the wonderful opportunities for active family fun available in winter. Below, you'll find links to all of the great places to ski within driving distance of Rochester and Buffalo.

Brantling Ski & Snowboard CenterSodus, NYDirections | A small family-owned and operated snow sports business in Sodus, New York along the south shore of Lake Ontario, which delivers lots of lake-effect snow. Programs for youth and adults alike, specializing in learn-to-ski and snowboard. Multi-day camps, youth and women’s programs, private lessons, family specials. Six of nine trails have snowmaking capabilities. On-site snack bar; beer and wine bar; rental shop with skis, snowboards and helmets for all ages; and a cozy lodge overlooking the slopes. |
