At the Creative Workshop, inspiration is everywhere! The Workshop is Rochester’s vibrant and thriving art school, with a year-round program offering classes at the beginning, intermediate and advanced level of drawing, painting, ceramics, jewelry and fibers. Our teachers are working artists, professional educators, and art historians all carefully matched to the classes they teach. The Workshop is a warm, welcoming and creative place where everything from the studios, teachers, volunteers and staff helps grow artists, enhance a love of art, and build the technical skills and creativity artists need. With art classes for all ages and levels of experience, Mill Art Center & Gallery provides an environment in which children and adults express and develop their artistic abilities through instruction. Our unique blend of classroom studios and galleries encourages students to immerse themselves in art, with inspiration from instructors and the art that surrounds them. Most classes are one to two hours in drawing, painting and ceramics, with special theme classes such as 'Creating a Faerie Land' and 'Advanced Drawing and Painting for Kids.'

Wood carving classes are offered for children ages 10 and over at instructor's church in Gates, NY or the instructor will travel to a location of the group. Classes are five hours long. They usually limit Class sizes limited to 6 students (apprentices) but can go to a maximum of 8 students. Cost $70 per student, which includes tools, tables and all materials. Learn to carve wood, and learn 18th century history of Western NY at the same time.

A Splash of Color Art Studio offers art lessons in Fine Arts for children and adults including home schooled students. Art mediums include water colors, acrylics, oils, pastels, pen and ink, and colored pencils. We are located in the village of Spencerport, 10 minutes west of Rochester, serving children, teens, and adults from Ogden, North Chili, Gates, Parma, and Sweden.
