LEARN TO SWIM THIS SUMMER AT HIDDEN VALLEY CLUB IN GATES!
Come experience swim lessons with your child in a 75' heated indoor pool (no sunscreen needed)! We've got Water Babies (ages 8 months – 2 yrs), Tiny Tots (ages 2 yrs. – 5 yrs.) and Pre-Swim (5 yrs and up) programs.
Both Programs are held every Tuesday and Thursday. Register early to avoid disappointment! For more info about classes, times they are held, or to register, call Hidden Valley Clubhouse at (585) 247-6050.

 

Backyard Swim Program

This exciting program provides children the opportunity to take swimming lessons at a neighborhood backyard pool. Classes are available for children ages 3-5 (Preschool) and ages 6-12 (Youth) for various swimming levels. All classes are taught by YMCA instructors and each pool has a certified YMCA lifeguard. Classes are two weeks (Monday-Friday) with Thursday and Friday of the 2nd week for make-ups. Special rates are offered for your children if you donate usage of your pool for the program. If you wish to donate your pool, call the aquatics office at 585-341-3238.     MCC Summer College for Kids

    Summer College for Kids is an all-day program offering the perfect blend of educational and recreational activities for your child. Located on MCC's Brighton Campus, the program is designed to provide children with opportunities to improve their basic skills while continuing their learning over summer vacation.This innovative program includes: Art, Computers, Cooking, Chess, Field Games, Science, Health & Fitness, Leadership Development, Reading, Swimming, Tennis, Writer's Workshop, Math Enrichment and a chance to forge new friendships!

    During this 4-day program (Mon-Thurs), participants learn the basic elements of whitewater kayaking and water safety. Students learn wet-exits, forward and reverse sweep strokes, peel outs, eddy turns, ferries, river reading skills and Eskimo rolls. Kids develop a strong foundation for white water slalom racing and recreational river running. 12 hours total camp.

    Located at the juncture of Irondequoit Creek and Irondequoit Bay, this paddlesport camp exposes children to the beautiful wetlands of Ellison Park. Our instructors teach basic/intermediate canoe and kayak technique in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Safety and rescue skills are implemented throughout the week. Sessions run Mon-Thur with Fri. as a rain date. Campers may choose either an am or pm time slot. 7-13 yrs.
