Summer at Oxford Learning
Summer Brain Camps at Oxford Learning let kids explore, discover, create and learn. Individualized programs to meet the specific needs of your child. Programs for all ages and abilities. AGES 6 - 11: Three-week programs include Reading, Writing/Grammar, Math, Computers & Crafts. AGES 12 - 16: Programs include Creative Writing/The Structured Essay; Math (preparation for Middle School & High School); Fast Track Study Skills; SAT/ACT Prep; Flexible Schedules; Individualized Programs. AGES 3 - 6: Little Readers Academy - A fun-filled way for three to six-year-olds to get ready for school. Individualized classes, enriched curriculum in Reading, Writing & Fine Motor Development, Math, Computers, Music & Movement.

 

Alpha Jump!
Recreation centers in Perinton, Brighton, and Victor

Alpha Jump! for 3-6 year olds introduces early literacy skills and physical fitness through the use of original and research supported techniques. Using gymnastics concepts and activities, as well as interactive songs and instruments, your child will connect to learning in a whole new way. This program, designed by professionals in their respective fields and based on the latest research regarding multiple intelligences, language acquisition and gross motor development, goes beyond creative movement and traditional teaching to make a direct connection between your child's physical motor skills and cognitive development. HALF-DAY and FULL-DAY week-long camps all summer, Programs center on creativity, reading and writing. Children have a blast using their imaginations and writing skills to put together their own radio show or puppet show. Camps run Monday Friday, 9am 4pm. Drop off starts at 8:40 and pick up ends at 4:20. Extended Care, supervised by our Youth Program staff, is provided from 8am-9am, and/or 4pm-5:30pm for an additional charge of $6 per child per hour. Please note: children should pack a lunch.

Workshops meet half day, usually from 9:00 to Noon or 1 to 4 p.m. These programs give teens a chance to explore specific aspects of the writer's craft, whether it be keeping a good travel journal, structuring a novel or putting together a winning poetry Slam performance. There are also general creative writing classes, a teen girls' forum and classes which offer a chance to strengthen essay skills for college or for admission essays.
